By Program Type

The program type you select will largely depend on the time you can set aside, the budget you can justify for productivity improvement, and the level of result you need.

We have three excellent options, all proven over hundreds of programs since 1996, all respecting your limits of time and resources, and each delivering a result that nobody else in the world can match.

Although our programs are based on serious and up-to date psychological and learning principles, and though we take your needs and productivity improvement results very seriously indeed, the programs themselves are characterised by fun, learning, challenge and laughter. We are expert at creating diverting , sometimes funny and yet very tightly targeted and work-relevant scenarios for your specific productivity outcomes; including exciting and yet deeply relevant and on-message problem features that draw on our diverse skills in technology, team dynamics, intelligence agency training and other unexpected sources; and also at ingeniously using our inventory of over 8,000 customized props and 5000-plus proprietary program designs to create team productivity benefits which people will use for their whole working lives.

The fun and challenge both accelerate the learning uptake. By managing a single job, but pausing with expert facilitation to reflect and re-map discoveries into better strategies, teams emerge by the end with rock-solid productivity improvement strategies and agreements in which they have complete confidence. Although the program scenario is apparently very different from work, which lets people separate from the “significance” of the workplace and focus on productivity, the strategies themselves are directly applied to the workplace. A measured productivity benefit of 20% to 60% is typical.

Select the program best for your team

The Rapid Results Program

Our most popular and effective program, the Rapid Results typically runs from late afternoon on Day One – a Monday, say – to late afternoon on Day Three, a Wednesday in this example. We usually recommend a choice of venues and ask that you select one, but we can also use a venue of your choice as long as it is suitable. Overnight stays on Days One and Two are preferable for your team, but not essential. Given the longer length of the program and especially if the team can stay two nights, longer travel times are justifiable and we can find you an outstanding venue at a low cost.

What You Can Expect

  1. A deep understanding of key team and interpersonal dynamics in the group
  2. Major progress against up to eight workplace outcomes wanted for the team
  3. Major short, medium and long-term productivity benefit for the team
  4. A well-established pattern of follow-up on issues of interest
  5. Three Team Dashboard™ measurements – one before the program, one immediately after, and one some four to six weeks later at work
  6. An estimated 40% to 60% increase in productivity

Details and Cost

  • This is a two and one-half day program at an agreed-upon venue.
  • If you book two overnights, we will arrange two breakfasts, two dinners, two to three lunches, and morning and afternoon break supplies as a part of the venue quote UNLESS you ask us to quote without meals (some Government clients may require this).
  • All documentation of the proceedings, tabulation of results, professional opinion and written analysis, reporting, images, forwarding of same to the client, custom-designed trophy and mementos for the team is/are included.
  • Follow-up is unlimited – we will follow up with you and the team as often as you like, using email, phone and – where practical – site visits.
  • Maximum program size is 100 people (we will use multiple facilitators for groups over 20 or so) but more can be booked by arrangement. The largest program we have run was for 400 people.
  • Costs are by individual quote because of the large number of customised variables involved. As a rough estimate, for a team of 20 people and not including venue charges*, a budget of $500-600 per head should cover our costs. Please note that costs are quoted per head for your comparison purposes – we do NOT bill per head and our costs are not scalable with the number of people. Larger numbers will cost significantly less per head, smaller numbers may cost a little more per head.

Example

The Support and Operations Departments need to work together to achieve a critical project deadline. As the General Manager, you understand that they must take some time up-front to develop common team strategies. You hire Team Results to run a Rapid Results program and follow-ups to deliver solid productivity improvements, and to measure and report on the results back at work to yourself and the CEO. Your team hits the deadline with confidence and style, winning two large follow-on contracts and enhancing everyone’s value and reputation.

The Rapid Response program

The Rapid Response typically runs from morning on Day One – a Monday, say – to midday on Day Two, a Tuesday in this example. We usually recommend a choice of venues and ask that you select one, but we can also use a venue of your choice as long as it is suitable. An overnight stay on Day One is preferable for your team, but not essential. Given the moderate length of the program and especially if the team can stay overnight, a modest travel time is justifiable and we can find you a good venue at an affordable cost.

What You Can Expect

  1. A moderate understanding of key team and interpersonal dynamics in the group
  2. Major progress against up to three workplace outcomes wanted for the team
  3. Short, medium and long-term productivity benefit for the team
  4. A plan for follow-up on issues of interest
  5. Three Team Dashboard™ measurements – one before the program, one immediately after, and one some four to six weeks later at work
  6. An estimated 30% to 40% increase in productivity

Details and Cost

Example

Anticipated budget cuts will require high team support for new Departmental policies aimed at doing more with less. As Director of your agency, you decide that that a key project team needs to focus on real-world strategies for this support. Severely limited in time and budget, you book a Rapid Response program with Team Results. Immediate results and follow-ups with measurement both show that attitude has changed as a result of better strategies, and productivity rises measurably as resistance to change decreases in the following weeks and months.

The Jumpstart program

The Jumpstart typically runs from morning on Day One – a Monday, say – to late afternoon on Day One, also a Monday in this example. We usually recommend a choice of venues and ask that you select one, but we can also use a venue of your choice as long as it is suitable. This is always a day session, with no overnights. Given the short length of the program, the venue needs to be close by, and we will find you an adequate location at the best available cost.

What You Can Expect

  1. A fair understanding of key team and interpersonal dynamics in the group
  2. Major progress against one selected workplace outcome wanted for the team
  3. Short, medium and usually long-term productivity benefit for the team
  4. A look at follow-up options on issues of interest
  5. Two Team Dashboard™ measurements – one before the program and one some two to four weeks later at work
  6. An estimated 20% to 30% increase in productivity

Example

Your customer service team has no performance problems, but it is time for their annual re-affirmation of their existing team values. As team chief you are tired of previous mundane approaches, and you engage Team Results to run a Jumpstart program. Feedback from this experienced group is that this was the best day’s professional development they have ever done in their lives.

None of the above

Team Results often runs specially-packaged programs for clients whose needs are not fully met by the above three options. Common examples are series of programs governed by the requirements of competitively-bid contracts we have won; specialised work overseas where the work hours and needs are often different; and clients with industrial, shift-based or other operational needs which require a custom fit.

Because all our programs are custom-designed to the needs of the client in any case, it’s an easy matter for us to custom-design the schedule and packaging as well. We are specialists in this, and all you have to do is talk to us. As with all our offerings, we will not ask you for a commitment until you have seen and approved a detailed proposal. This proposal will include a detailed plan for meeting your custom-packaging needs, so that you will be in possession of the full proposed plan before – and not after – you make a commitment. Simply make contact with Team Results.

Example

Your regulatory compliance team of 40 people is required to have coverage of the enterprise over all operating hours. For that reason, you cannot send the whole team to any program at the same time. You also have an excellent rural training facility with good meeting rooms, a cafeteria and large, usable grounds and are under pressure to use your own facilities where possible. Team Results proposes an ingenious plan that uses your grounds and schedules the 40 people through a single two-part Mission structured as two back-to-back chapters with 20 people each – taking advantage of the special circumstances and using them to add flavor and relevance, rather than resisting them as limitations. You like the plan and book the program. Four weeks later, productivity is boosted 40% and success is so great that other section chiefs in the enterprise ask you for details so that they can book their own programs.
